What do we expect?
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead our R&D initiatives in AI/ML. In this role, you will drive innovation, prototype breakthrough solutions, and help shape the future of our AI-powered products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Research & Development (R&D) initiatives in AI/ML, with a focus on new algorithms, model architectures, and advanced techniques for possible applications in our AI products.
- Define and drive the teams innovation initiatives, ensuring continuous exploration and experimentation with Agentic AI, RAGs, multimodal AI, and other emerging fields.
- Design and prototype end-to-end proofs of concept (PoCs), validating technical feasibility before full-scale implementation.
- Ensure the adoption of best practices in MLOps, security, and scalability, from experimental research to production deployment.
- Establish and maintain rigorous scientific evaluation frameworks, including benchmarking, performance metrics, and validation in regulated environments (e.g. medical devices).
- Foster a mindset of curiosity, innovation, and technical excellence inside the team.
- Contribute to robust technical documentation and support compliance with regulatory certification requirements.
Who you are:
You have:
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in ML/AI engineering, with a strong track record across applied research, prototyping, and product innovation.
- Proficiency in python and modern ML/GenAI frameworks such as LangChain (or equivalents), with practical experience integrating LLMs into scalable product workflows (e.g., vector databases, embedding pipelines, orchestration, tracing, observability).
- Solid engineering capability across full-stack prototyping, including building backend APIs/services, integrating models into production workflows, basic competence in frontend development to quickly test and validate product experiences
- Ability to lead innovation initiatives from research through to delivery of impactful product solutions.
- Track record of technical publications, patents, open-source contributions, or other peer-recognized outputs in ML/AI are valued.
- Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI is valued.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strategic vision and hands-on mindset, balancing scientific exploration with practical product delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and regulated environments.
- Work proficiency in English.
